This Popular Cupcake Place Just Re-Opened in Karachi

Pane Amore Re-Opens In Karachi

I remember celebrating my birthday at Pane & Amore many years ago. We had already had dinner and were walking to our car when we spotted Pane & Amore’s outlet in Zamzama, Karachi.

“OMG, Pane & Amore! Does anybody want cupcakes?”

5 minutes later, my family and I were huddled over a table in a deserted cupcake shop. It was 12AM and we were trying to make room for cupcakes despite just having eaten a full dinner. I remember ordering a red velvet cupcake – a flavour that people are quick to bash today but it was all the rage then. This was 2018.

For years later, that was going to be the last cupcake I had had because Pane & Amore soon shut shop.

No other place has had a hold on Karachi the way Pane & Amore did for cupcakes. The cupcakes were moist and the frosting was fluffy and flavourful without being overly sweet. When cupcakes from all other places tasted like fondant or leftover cake, Pane & Amore tasted like vanilla or cinnamon-spiced fluffy clouds.

2023 - and the return of Pane & Amore

All good things come to an end and it’s very rare they make a comeback, but we are glad Pane & Amore in Karachi is the exception. In 2023, it opened its doors again – to their outlet at Khayaban e Nishat.

Here is what their new outlet looks like:

Pane & Amore - The Menu

The current menu involves a huge variety of cupcakes, signature cakes and cinnamon rolls.

Pane & Amore in Karachi - Recommendations

A quick glance at the menu will have you wanting to try all the flavours. I got myself a “french toast” cupcake – which has a maple flavoured base and is topped with vanilla cream. It really took me back and I’m happy to report that it tastes just as good, with more options of flavours.

What is actually the best thing in their menu (in our opinion, so far) are the choco-coffee cinnamon rolls, though. Words fail me and I just want to talk in sounds. This cinnamon roll, when warmed up for 10-15 seconds, is dessert perfection. I also tried the classic vanilla cinnamon rolls but the choco-coffee cinnamon rolls is where it is at.

We can’t wait to go through more cupcake flavours. Let us know if you do too and have opinions to share!
