The Beast is an interesting name for a burger but the way Markhor ups the meat quotient on all its food items, it’s quite apt. Markhor (the restaurant) has become known over the years for its brisket, pastrami, pulled beef, lamb shanks, birria tacos and more. What do I order from Markhor's menu in Karachi?
1. The Beast
The day we tried The Beast burger at Markhor and it was a few years ago, we immediately knew it was going straight to our list of best burgers in Karachi. The brisket on top of the beef patty? Everything!
The melted cheese? Caramelised onions? This is not one of your chewy, dry burgers that we all seem to dread.
2. Brisket Loaded Jacket Potato
Are you kidding?! Where has this been hiding all along? Jacket Potatoes are so superior and if someone makes them CHEESY, well-SEASONED and well, loaded with brisket, the whole thing is just beautiful then.
Nobody wants unseasoned potatoes. Don’t know who needed to hear that, but just facts.
Definitely one of the best appetisers to go with a meal and unique too!

3. Pastrami on Rye
Well, yes. yes. yes. Sorry, we are kind of speechless. This Pastrami on rye is OG. Now a bunch of places do it, which is cool. We are fine. We love pastrami and can’t have enough places doing it.
But this is us saying that Markhor does a pretty good one.
